I lost my job almost a year ago and my search as not been going well. My wife has recently started searching too but she has been a stay at home for over 8 years. Her degree and experience open a lot of doors for interviews but she is getting passed over. It is really starting to hurt her self confidence and I just don’t know what to do to help. She has always been the most self confident person I ever met and has never been into touchy feely moments.

Even after I have cleared all rounds of interviews, they seem to play a waiting game.Ok, they want to pay lower salary, but won’t disclose how low.
In such situations, do I need to be honest, and be exploited ? Please advise.
No( financial) crisis at present. but am getting discouraged.

Is it best to keep working at a job where I feel burnt out or better to quit, recharge, and devote myself to the job hunt (also meaning that I would be free to interview and such whenever instead of having to work around a work schedule).
