I worked in the mortgage industry and got laid off 6 1/2 weeks ago because the industry is in the tank. I’ve had some interviews but no offers came forth. I signed up to work with temp agencies but they don’t call me. I am collecting unemployment but this won’t last forever. I feel like a total loser because I lost my job and that no one will hire me. I find myself falling into depression. There have been many days where I have felt like taking my own life. The thought that would run through my head was “If I’m dead, I don’t need anything.” This is the situation I’m in now, but how do I deal with emotions like these? What if I don’t find a job soon..or ever?
